Teaching
is inspirational. The truth is, everyone can draw and paint.
It’s all there. It just needs to be discovered.
My role is to facilitate a student in learning how to see
in new ways and to record that information accurately and
sensitively.
As a mentor, I encourage the exploration of different methods,
techiniques and systems. To witness a student “get it”
and to see the joy that rises from that discovery is profoundly
satisfying.
I will provide constructive feedback regarding the material,
technical and theoretical aspects of your work. We will discuss
the direction of your work and if applicable, building a portfolio.
Bring your work and your questions and I will support you
in anyway I can.
To enjoy making art means:
- setting aside time just for oneself;
- going for the process, not exclusively the end result;
- being open to new creative experiences and leaving the
“inner judge” outside the studio door.
