Resolution is a series of paintings that are narrative in style and explore the arena of the personal and the collective.
Technology and consumerism have contributed to alienation with ourselves and towards others. It is a difficult journey to truly know what our true purpose is . The struggle to face and connect to one’s authentic self is revealed in works such as Woman Singing and Love Can Pass You By.
There is a psychological tension between the figure and ground echoing a perpetual state of discontent and lack of inner clarity that is been grappled with at this post modernist time. Living a balanced life without compromise or misplaced beliefs is a lofty but essential goal.
